Earlier this month, Mayor Debra March glowed with enthusiasm at the 2020 State of the City Address. With up and coming news and big power players stepping on the scene, Henderson is at the precipice of growth. Looking forward to the year ahead, “the future of henderson has never looked more promising” March stated. Sharing her “2020 Vision” for the city, March emphasized her goals of becoming a city “that is grown not only in population, not only in prosperity, not only in statue or diversity, but in heart”

POWER PLAYERS TAKE THE FIELD

Future home of the Las Vegas Raiders Headquarters as well as the Vegas Golden Knights Practice Facility, Henderson is ready to jump into the sports scene head first.
The Golden Knights and City of Henderson are thrilled to be opening an indoor ice hockey facility in Downtown Henderson. This $25,000,000 facility is scheduled for completion in Summer 2020, and will be home to two NHL regulation-size ice rinks plus a full-service restaurant. Bringing the explosive energy of our home team to Henderson as well as recreational facilities available to the community, this facility is an exciting step for our city and the Water Street District.
The newest addition to our community, the Las Vegas Raiders, will be making a mark on Henderson as well with their 335,000 square foot training facility and headquarters. Featuring three outdoor football fields, 150,000 square feet of indoor field house, and technology to mimic game time environment, this state of the art facility is prepping the Raiders for success! In addition, staff, coaches, and executives will have ample office and meeting space to make sure the team is in tip top shape for next season. With excitement brimming over from the team including Owner Mark Davis, Henderson is thrilled to welcome the Raiders with open arms.

HIGH TECH FACILITIES BREAKING GROUND
GOOGLE | AMAZON
A $600 Million Google Data Center is coming to Henderson. Expanding and creating nearly 200 jobs, as well as work for hundreds of construction workers, engineers, technicians, and electricians, this Data Center is spiking growth in the community.
Internet retail giant, Amazon, is also expanding their reach to Henderson with their third 600,000 square foot fulfillment center in the state of Nevada. This addition to the community will aid in “bringing quality jobs and helping to strengthen and diversify Southern Nevada’s economy”, says Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards.
