- Sloan Canyon Trail
Bordering the south edge of Henderson is Sloan Canyon and McCullough Range where Ascaya has engulfed the essence of this truly authentic desert terrain.
With nearly 50,000 acres Sloan Canyon embodies not only beautiful trails but also is easy access to the best climbs in the valley. You can also visit the historic Petroglyph Canyon known to be a geologic diamond.
The Archaeological District at Petroglyph Canyon is the most important Native American culture sites in Southern Nevada.
- McCullough Hills Trail
Atop the beautiful McCullough Mountain Range at the peak of 3,000 feet sits Ascaya. The luxury homesite embodies true authenticity found in luxury design due to its inhabitants of the beautiful surrounding of the McCullough Mountain Range.
The north side of the mountain range includes the McCullough Hills Trail and is apart of the enchanting Sloan Canyon.

Just outside Sloan Canyon is the gorgeous Shaded Canyon Trailhead. This trailhead is a part of the City of Henderson trail system and has many trailheads that link to Sloan Canyon. Shaded Canyon embodies many of the same features as Sloan Canyon and is great option to explore different looping trailheads.
- Shadow Canyon Access Point
This trail is great if you are looking for a little less rugged but still enchanting beauty. The Shadow Canyon Trail offers a handful of paved parking and shaded seating areas to enjoy a mid stop bite to eat or to relax and take in the gorgeous scenery.
- Hidden Falls Park Trailhead
Hidden Falls Trailhead offers all the amenities of a park including paved parking, bathrooms, and drinking fountains and shaded sitting areas. The gorgeous trailhead is also directly outside the Sloan Canyon with connecting trails and similar landscape.
- Black Mountain
At the peak of the volcanic origin Black Mountain trails features unique lava cliffs on the east side of the mountain. Located on the south side of Henderson this trailhead features panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip.
The Black Mountain gets its name from the black lava cliffs located on the east side. The views atop this historic volcanic range include Red Rocks, Spring Mountains, El Dorodo, Jean Dry Lakes and many more.
