From the construction of the Raiders’ new practice facility to new housing developments, a lot is going on in Henderson and that includes earning a spot as one of Money Magazine’s Best Places To Live In America.
Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Scott Muelrath said a lot of a businesses are relocating to southern Nevada and huge construction projects like the Raiders practice facility in west Henderson are fueling growth.
“It’s very encouraging all the signs we see across this city that things are all pointing in a positive direction,” said Muelrath. “When there’s construction booming that’s also a job attraction, so you are pulling people from really all over the country. It creates a ripple effect for the small business community and in turn the community at large.”
If you’re looking for a planned community in one of the country’s most unusual landscapes, Henderson may be just the ticket. Just outside of Las Vegas, Henderson has more than 20 such suburban developments — with bike paths, golf courses, lakes and other amenities — with a total population that’s just shy of 300,000.
