The Design Process

When design-led development firm Blue Heron sets out to design and build an Accelerated New Home at Ascaya, every detail is thoroughly considered – from the distinct features of the homesite to the landscape that surrounds it. Perhaps most importantly, the design process nurtures a personal relationship with the client, giving special attention to understanding the client’s home vision.

Blue Heron’s First Accelerated New Home

Combining incredible Las Vegas city and mountain views with expansive living areas, Ascaya’s contemporary homes are custom-made masterpieces, and Aurora, Blue Heron’s first project at Ascaya, is no exception. The new film takes viewers through the design process behind Aurora, shedding light on how the team maximized views and space – such as placing the home’s front steps slightly higher than the main room with the intention of opening up the space and emphasizing the effect of the city views.
