Henderson, Nevada is having its moment. The scenic city, home to the gated Ascaya community and located just 15 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, is the focus of a special report titled AudaCity in Nevada Business Magazine. “We’ve achieved award-winning master-planned communities and parks, high-performing schools, and an unmatched quality of life, and Henderson is recognized as one of the safest cities and best places to live in the country,” Mayor Michelle Romero states in the report. She adds that the city’s strategic plan serves as a roadmap for the strong, sustainable community Henderson has become.
Nevada’s second-largest city has made bold moves to diversify its economy, business and culture. Among the city’s recent achievements, welcoming new companies, from multinational corporations to homegrown businesses. Professional sports teams and their headquarters are located in the city, including the $158 million Las Vegas Raider’s headquarters and WNBA national champions, the Las Vegas Aces. Also of note, the city is 75% of the way to its goal of having a park within a ten-minute walk of every resident. Currently, there are 5.5 acres of park for every 1,000 residents.
Brimming with parks and open space, the Ascaya luxury community leads the special report’s section titled “Living Legendary,” noted for its views of Las Vegas Valley and the Strip, as well as its low-density living with 300 homesites situated on 680 sprawling mountainside acres.
“We have just about 100 homes completed or under construction,” Ascaya Director of Sales Melissa Tomastik tells Nevada Business Magazine. Ascaya features both estate homesites for building the ultimate desert dream home and move-in ready new constructions, such as 21 Rockstream Drive, a five-bedroom, 6,305-square-foot architectural tour-de-force by Blue Heron.
The newest neighborhood, The Canyon at Ascaya is a lock-and-leave luxury enclave with wellness amenities, including five pools, yoga decks and meditation spaces. “It’s a special enclave within Ascaya, consisting of 51 residences being designed and built by Blue Heron,” Tomastik added. Sited across elevated terraces, the resort-style residences feature three- and four-bedroom floor plans, seamless indoor-outdoor living and sweeping views of the surrounding canyon.
The article highlights Ascaya’s “peaceful desert landscapes,” located only 20 minutes from The Strip, as well as the community’s unparalleled experiences and amenities, including a 22,000-square-foot clubhouse, swimming pool, Family Park, tennis and pickleball pavilion, miles of trails and more.
